Inside Llewyn Davis

The Coen Brothers' film about a loser with a cat, based on the memoirs of folk singer Dave Van Ronk, depicts the music scene of 1960s New York.

Oscar Isaac plays a guitar-strumming loser living in debt, crashing on friends' couches, despairingly watching the success of younger competitors, and perpetually lonely — at some point, he is joined by a ginger cat with a significant name that Davis and the audience will only discover at the very end.

One of the most audience-friendly and charming films by the Coens in a long time. Cinematographer Bruno Delbonnel worked on "Amélie."
