Immersive TV & Radio Experience: “The Body of a Hunched Dog”
For the first time in Tbilisi, the immersive multimedia project “The Body of a Hunched Dog” arrives with a unique format that blends documentary cinema, performance art, live music, and audiovisual experimentation.
The project began as an interactive radio show, evolved into a livestream in 2019, and eventually transformed into a theatrical performance that combines multiple artistic disciplines.
The evening opens with a documentary film featuring four performances across different art forms. Filmed in 2023, it follows the project's first journey beyond Saint Petersburg to Nizhny Novgorod, one of Russia's major centers of contemporary counterculture.
The fourth chapter is inspired by Carlos Castaneda's concept of the four enemies of a person: fear, clarity, power, and old age.
Following the screening, the program continues with live audiovisual performances:
Movan — Peruvian artist, Berlin-based sound performer, visual researcher, and cultural curator, presenting an immersive AV performance.
o51 — Musician, DJ, and live artist from Moscow. After beginning his career with DJ sets in clubs such as Bryusov, Konstruktor, Smena, and Dich, he explored live techno performances with ANSR Music and now develops his solo project while collaborating with the Italian Dogs collective.
Mikl DERS — Electronic musician and live performer working across ethno techno, experimental dub techno, and downtempo. His performances are built around live improvisation using analog synthesizers and hardware instruments, creating hypnotic, immersive soundscapes where ethnic motifs blend with deep grooves and experimental textures.
