No one ever thought it would really happen, but the end of the world has come: terrible spawn of darkness have engulfed it. Only a few remain, forced to hide in an ancient, eerie place, the true purpose of which has long been forgotten. But somehow, human life has filled this dark place. And from this darkness, a way to the light will surely be found.
In the cooperative game "End of Eternity," players take on the roles of mages who must defend their city from the oppression of the terrible spawn. Each round consists of alternating turns between the players' heroes and the spawn, but this order will change depending on the actions played and the type of spawn against which the battle occurs. This is a deck-building game, but unlike other games with similar mechanics, the players' decks are not shuffled, eliminating the influence of randomness: players determine the order of cards in their deck before the game starts. This allows for more control over the game situation and lets players develop their heroes along the path they deem most optimal. To defeat enemies, use spells, and to become stronger, learn new ones! With each new acquisition, the combinations you play will become more effective—just make sure to arrange the cards in your deck wisely.
It took decades for the Rift Mages to master dark magic, but it was worth it: they became powerful enough to fight evil. Don’t give up—defeat all the spawn to restore the World-That-Was!
