Meet the Ian Muñoz Quartet — our Resident Band of August!

Ian Muñoz
Ian Muñoz is a New York-based saxophonist and a graduate of the Juilliard School Jazz Studies program. Born in Miami, he draws inspiration from Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Kenny Garrett, Immanuel Wilkins, and John Coltrane. He has performed alongside Sean Jones, Tim Warfield, Vincent Herring, Matthew Whitaker, and many other acclaimed musicians, and has toured throughout the United States, China, Japan, Canada, and Taiwan.

Ahmed McLemore
Ahmed McLemore is a Detroit-born bassist, an Oberlin Conservatory graduate, and a master's student at the Juilliard School. His music combines a deep respect for the jazz tradition with a contemporary artistic vision. He has shared the stage with Terell Stafford, Eric Reed, Pasquale Grasso, Tim Warfield, Steve Davis, and many other renowned jazz artists.

Matthew Lee
Matthew Lee is a drummer from New Jersey and a graduate of the Juilliard School. Now based in New York City, he grew up in a musical family and studied with Billy Hart, Billy Drummond, Christian McBride, and other distinguished jazz musicians. Today, he regularly performs alongside some of the most exciting young artists on the New York jazz scene.

Isaac Birdy
Isaac Birdy is a Brooklyn-based pianist, composer, and educator. After graduating from the Oberlin Conservatory, he moved to New York in 2025, where he has collaborated with Curtis Lundy, Samara Joy, Bobby Watson, Joe Farnsworth, and many other acclaimed musicians. His music is rooted in the jazz tradition while embracing creative freedom and meaningful human connection.
