Riding on horseback through the colorful hills and scorched fields — an experience that will stay with you for a long time.
Weakness, frustration, acceptance, pushing through, pride, and reward — these are the stages you’ll pass through on this journey. So, are you ready? Let’s ride!
We’ll start our day with a light breakfast in a family tavern — the hostess will prepare the best kubdari in the village of Udabno. Then, we set off for a 4-hour horseback adventure across the desert.
You’ll be accompanied by 2 experienced guide-instructors, who will ensure everyone’s safety. Every hour we’ll stop for rest and light stretching.
Our final destination is the active David Gareji monastery, home to incredible frescos from the 9th–14th centuries. The caves and monastic complex are carved into the cliffs and stretch for several kilometers.
The reward at the end of the day — a hearty dinner back at Jaba’s tavern, where even the cheese will be freshly made for our group. You’ll also be treated to homemade wine.
