Imagine yourself walking through the Uffizi Gallery, the Louvre, the Hermitage, or perhaps the National Gallery in London.
You move from one hall to another, surrounded by countless paintings. You look at one, then another — but after 30–40 minutes, your attention begins to fade. Meanwhile, the paintings are waiting to speak to you, to tell you fascinating stories! Artists have hidden symbols and signs within them, so that we can read their messages through the centuries.
At this lecture, we’ll take a closer look at famous paintings by different artists and decode the meanings and messages they left behind. Works by Jan van Eyck, Pieter Bruegel, Agnolo Bronzino, Leonardo da Vinci, and of course Hieronymus Bosch will not go unnoticed!
