On Wednesday, March 12, at 20:00, we meet at "Kamin", light some candles, and listen to a fairy tale about fairy tales.
The meeting will be hosted by Ruslan Murusidze – a popularizer of Georgian culture, videographer, cinephile, and a bit of a storyteller. Here’s what he has to say:
"A fairy tale is not just an imaginary story for children but an ancient cultural element of a nation and a way to pass it through time and distance. It is a collection of rules, a part of politics, a model of the world, knowledge about the surroundings, a history book, and a way to captivate and unite a community around the storyteller.
We will talk about the history of fairy tales as a phenomenon, the types and characteristics of Georgian fairy tales, their reflection in various layers of culture and history, and their embodiment in the modern world."
