Grave of the Fireflies

The final days of World War II. American aircraft bomb defenseless Japanese cities. Caught in the whirlwind of daily human nightmare are 14-year-old Seita and his little sister Setsuko. After suffering the bitter loss of their loved ones, they are left completely alone.

In an instant, the young boy is forced to grow up as he confronts the cruelty of the world. He realizes that his little sister’s life now depends entirely on him.
