CG Georgia returns with a new challenge — Gods & Monsters: Character Design Challenge!
We invite you to take part in a creative design activity where characters from world mythology come to life. According to the challenge brief, participants are required to create an artwork depicting a mythological character as seen through their own vision — from any era and culture, whether Georgian, Greek, Scandinavian, Egyptian, Japanese, Roman, or any other. The character may be a hero, god, monster, or spiritual being.
The main goal is to convey the character’s key features — their defining traits, qualities, attributes, and symbolic elements. Participants are encouraged to add individual details that will enrich and diversify their artwork.
Anyone interested who wishes to express their imagination and share their work with a wider audience is welcome to participate.
Submission format:
The challenge is divided into two categories: 2D Design and 3D Design
Minimum resolution: 2048 × 2048
File formats: JPG, PNG, PDF
Aspect ratio: 1:1 (square)
Rules
Submitted artworks must be original and created by the participant (in case of plagiarism, CG Georgia reserves the right to automatically disqualify the work).
The creative process must be documented step by step (video documentation is required as proof of authorship).
By submitting the artwork, the participant confirms ownership of the copyright and grants the organizers the right to use the work on the website, exhibitions, publications, and other materials, with proper credit to the author.
Submission process consists of two steps:
Registration and upload of the artwork on the official CG Georgia Challenge website:
