On October 9, the legendary Georgian vocal ensemble Georgian Voices will hold its jubilee with special concert on the stage of the Batumi State Musical Centre.
The evening will feature popular songs by Georgian composers as well as rare examples of Georgian traditional vocal folklore. The ensemble will be accompanied by the Tbilisi City Hall Big Band, adding a special dimension to the concert program.
Founded in 1986, Georgian Voices is one of the most distinguished ensembles in Georgian male vocal music. Throughout its long and successful history, the group has played an important role in promoting Georgian traditional and popular music both in Georgia and abroad.
In 1996, Georgian Voices was awarded the title of Laureate of the State Prize of Georgia in recognition of its contribution to Georgian musical culture.
