Description

In 2026, Georgia marks the 1,700th anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as the state religion. A series of special events supported by the state is dedicated to this milestone anniversary.

Throughout the year, a series of classical music concerts will be held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia and Creative Georgia. The project's artistic directors and conductors are Simon Jangulashvili and Zviad Bolkvadze.

The program will feature works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Giuseppe Verdi, Maurice Ravel, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sulkhan Nasidze, and Zviad Bolkvadze.

The concerts will bring together the festival orchestra, invited international musicians, and choirs.

On September 18, a concert conducted by Zviad Bolkvadze will take place at the National Symphony Orchestra Auditorium, featuring the festival orchestra and the Abkhazian Cappella.

Program:

• Ludwig van Beethoven — Symphony No. 5
• Maurice Ravel — Piano Concerto in G Major
