"Following the Footsteps" is a choreographic journey through the cultural memory of Georgia.
The performance is inspired by the legacy of Ekvtime Taqaishvili, whose dedication helped preserve Georgia's invaluable cultural treasures. In the production, these rescued artifacts become symbolic portals, taking audiences on a journey through different eras and regions of the country.
Blending traditional Georgian folk dance with contemporary movement, the performance tells the story of a cultural heritage that continues to live and evolve today.
The production will be created in just eight days as part of the ILETI International Summer Dance Camp, held annually in Georgia. This year's edition brings together participants from six countries, who will explore Georgian culture through the universal language of dance.
The project is supported by the Tbilisi City Hall.
