Description

This time, the Fireflies ambient live session series moves from the Evangelical Church to Soooon Space — a more intimate yet equally atmospheric venue.
Ambient and experimental live performances will be presented using diverse techniques and methodologies by AGAVAMarching Dog, and Evgeny Bylina.

The exhibition space will also feature works by Anka Odishilidze (ann_is_lost), united under the series “You Will Always Be.”

Due to the specific nature of the space, seating capacity is limited.

Artists

Marching Dog
You may already be familiar with TOYSOP RECORDS and the artists associated with the label — GEORGINA BEASTLY, GRB3, MINDORI, TWO PROFESSORS, and others. Whether you know it or not, the main driving force behind it all is Levan Javakhishvili.
While all of this is great, sometimes he too needs an escape — and that’s when MARCHING DOG is born. DOG is Levan Javakhishvili with his guitar and an extensive collection of gadgets, carving a path from deep space to the calm, pastoral realms of 21st-century psychedelia.

AGAVA
AGAVA is an experimental modular synth project fully focused on live performance. Since no recordings are made during live sets, AGAVA creates a unique experience in the moment — which is why no two performances are ever the same.
The project invites listeners to fully immerse themselves in the music and feel the energy of each session. By blending resonance, ambient soundscapes, cinematic textures, noise, and improvisation, AGAVA offers a deep, meditative sonic experience that continues to resonate long after the performance ends.

Evgeny Bylina
Evgeny Bylina is a cultural theorist and musician exploring memory and nostalgia through the lenses of art and science. Drawing on the concepts of hauntology and the phenomenology of listening, he examines how the past resonates within contemporary sound culture, evoking memories of forgotten or repressed events.
His musical works, which he refers to as Love Ambient, combine early gothic sensibilities with lo-fi electronics and loops of long-forgotten romantic pop music.
At the upcoming live session, Bylina will present his album Accidental Meetings, released last year on the Montreal-based ambient label Florina Cassettes. In this performance, he will work with soothing granular textures, radio manipulations, loop recordings, and electric piano.

Anka Odishilidze
Anka Odishilidze (Ann Is Lost) is a Georgian visual artist and composer. She initially studied and graduated from the Georgian State Academy of Arts and later earned a Master’s degree in Fashion Design from Domus Academy in Milan. After 5–6 years working in the fashion industry, she began composing music for fashion shows, laying the foundation for a new audiovisual direction in her practice.
“You Will Always Be” — where “you” refers to the inner child who needs to be heard, cared for, or simply allowed to rest.
The exhibition concept emerged from an imaginary world — from childhood and sleepless nights, from nature, forests, and animals.
Nothing special — just a reminder that you will always be… alive and free, like a child.

Location

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people. Tbilisi was founded in the fifth century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history, Tbilisi has been a point of contention among various global powers. To this day, the city's location ensures its position as an important transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi's history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and Modern structures. Historically, Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though its population is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian.
