"Before You Register Your Business" is a joint lecture series by the Academy of Thinking and the Bank of Georgia, designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with essential knowledge before officially launching their business.
As part of this series, the fourth session will be held with Giga Faikidze, Co-Founder and CEO of Loiaté, on the topic:
“Financial Projection and Fundraising”
Fundraising isn’t just about acquiring money — it’s a strategic process that turns your idea into reality.
The session will cover:
Key steps for successful fundraising
How to craft a clear vision
How to plan your budget, assess risks, and prepare a targeted, well-argued proposal
The most common funding sources in Georgia, including:
— personal and grant funding
— bank loans
— international programs
— leasing options
We’ll also examine common mistakes that often hinder funding, such as underdeveloped ideas, weak financial models, inaccurate proposals, and choosing the wrong funding source.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding that success is not only about raising money — it’s about earning trust, demonstrating competence, and clearly communicating value to investors and partners.
The event includes light refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere.
Attendance is possible both in-person and online via Google Meet.
Duration — 2–3 hours.
