We’re watching “Grazia” — a new film by Paolo Sorrentino, one of the most influential directors of contemporary cinema.
The film won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
At the center of the story is the President of Italy, Mariano De Santis, a man at the sunset of his career. With only a short time left before his departure, he faces decisions that could change everything: a euthanasia law capable of dividing the country, and two pardon requests — an elderly man who killed his wife to end her suffering, and a woman who killed her abusive husband.
