Join us for a screening of the Golden Bear-winning film from the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival.

Directed by İlker Çatak, best known for his Academy Award-nominated film The Teachers' Lounge, Yellow Letters is a powerful socio-political drama that explores the conflict between artistic freedom and state authority. The film received the Golden Bear at Berlinale and earned nine nominations for the German Film Awards.

The story follows Aziz, a theatre director, and his wife Derye, an actress. After a scandal during a premiere, they suddenly lose their jobs, home, and financial stability. The title Yellow Letters refers to the official notices of politically motivated dismissals in Turkey. Forced to move in with Aziz's parents, the couple struggles to preserve both their relationship and their dignity while facing professional exclusion and growing social isolation.
