Our exploratory hike begins in the village of Chokhi—a highland village in the Gudamakari Gorge, known for its mystical atmosphere, untouched nature, and historic shrines on the southern slopes of the Caucasus.
Chokhi is famous for its sacred landmarks, including the Pirimze Shrine and the Church of St. George, both of which have served as important spiritual centers for local communities for centuries.
The surrounding landscape remains largely untouched: rugged mountains, alpine meadows, and crisp mountain air create the perfect setting for true adventure seekers. Thanks to its elevation, the village enjoys a pleasantly cool climate even in summer.
Lake Nariana is a small, secluded alpine lake located in the picturesque Snos Valley (Kazbegi Municipality, Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region), at an elevation of approximately 1,800 meters above sea level.
