🎯 An open meeting with psychologist Ivane Mindadze will be held at the Academy of Thought.
🌟 Topic: "Language and Thinking"
◼️ Does language have any effect on thinking?
Talking about this issue, the present topics are:
▪️ How the world is reflected in language;
▪️ Different languages express the world in different ways;
▪️ What is the connection between language and culture, between language and thinking

The meeting will discuss the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis, according to which language determines our thinking. Also, the hypothesis of its predecessor - Wilhelm Humboldt will be reviewed, and it will be discussed how far this theory can be checked, whether there is any objective data on the basis of which we can prove that language really affects thinking.
