Educational and Inspiring Stories of Influential Georgian Women

On March 7, in celebration of International Women’s Day, ibis Styles Old Tbilisi will host an author lecture-workshop titled “FemNavigators” by Nini Mirabaldi, founder of the educational and civic organization “Mirabaldi.”

The event is designed for young people aged 9 and above. The main goal of the workshop is to introduce participants to the stories of strong and influential Georgian women whose contributions were overshadowed by the upheavals of the last century. Our mission is to bring their stories back into living memory and present them in an inspiring and accessible format for young audiences.

The lecture segment will highlight Georgian women educators who selflessly served society and understood the vital role of education in creating dignified living conditions and fostering national development. We will discuss women whose contributions to Georgia’s history are especially significant:

Anastasia Eristavi-Khoshtaria,
Anastasia Tumanishvili,
Ekaterine Gabashvili,
Gandegili / Ekaterine Porakishvili-Sarajishvili,
Elene Kipiani,
Alexandra Chilaia,
Varinka Machavariani,
Olga Guramishvili,
Mariam Jambakur Orbeliani.

The practical part of the workshop will be interactive and creative. Participants will work with specially designed illustrated materials depicting the stories of these female figures, helping them better understand and remember their achievements.

At the end of the event, each participant will receive a coloring book collection and a special certificate as a gift.
