DOVLATOV

On Thursday evening, September 3, we invite you to a screening of DOVLATOV (2018) by Alexey German Jr.

It is the first feature film about one of the major prose writers of the 20th century.

The story is set in the early 1970s. Dovlatov is young and promising. He is discovering literary Leningrad, learning the craft of journalism, and constantly finding himself in absurd and amusing situations together with his friend, future Nobel Prize laureate Joseph Brodsky.

At the Berlin International Film Festival, the film received a Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution.

After the screening, as always, we’ll stay to discuss the film together.
