Description

J&J Training Center offers a training course on “Current Issues in Insolvency Law”, led by leading experts and practitioners in the field — Sofio Machavariani and Nino Kochiashvili.

📌 The primary goal of insolvency law is the fair satisfaction of creditors’ claims. The law aims to preserve the company (rehabilitation), and if this is not possible — to liquidate its assets and distribute the proceeds. The process begins when a company can no longer meet its obligations or when there is a real risk of this. At this stage, it is determined whether the case proceeds to rehabilitation or bankruptcy.

〽️ It is critically important for creditors to understand their rights and be able to protect their interests within insolvency proceedings. Without knowledge of procedural nuances, this can become a major challenge for lawyers, and failure to act in time may lead to irreversible consequences.

📌 Therefore, understanding the fundamental principles of insolvency is essential for business law practitioners to ensure proper and qualified representation.

⭕️ The training will be conducted in an interactive format, allowing maximum engagement and the opportunity to address key questions.

Location

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people. Tbilisi was founded in the fifth century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history, Tbilisi has been a point of contention among various global powers. To this day, the city's location ensures its position as an important transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi's history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and Modern structures. Historically, Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though its population is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian.
