📽 From 29.03 to 3.04 at Cinemaholics Tbilisi – “Perfect Days” (dir. Wim Wenders, 2023)

The title of the film comes from the song of Lou Reed- and is as melancholic and hopeful as the song itself. The protagonist, Hirayama, lives alone, repeats the same routine every day, goes to work to clean the toilets, takes pictures, goes to a bathhouse, dines in the same spot every evening and before sleep reads a book, starting everything all over again the next morning. His life is simple, devoid of noise and insincerity and although it might seem a downfall for others, he himself thanks the sky every morning with sparkling eyes for granting another, new, perfect day.
