Description
April 9 is a day of mourning. In 1989, on this very day, General Rodionov killed the protesters gathered on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi. April 9 is Mila's birthday and at the same time her and Gena's wedding date, but nobody remembers the holiday on the day of mourning. Mila and Gena's love started like a holiday in the late 80s in the city of Yerevan, but soon it fell apart and collapsed, just like the Soviet Union. A couple fleeing the Karabakh war took refuge in the seaside district of Tbilisi and have been living here ever since. Zema - the eldest daughter of Mila and Gena is a police officer, the youngest son, Lazare - works as a courier. A family living in the ruins of the Soviet Union spares no effort to escape from the bunker of the history of independent Georgia.
The first stage interpretation of Iva Fezuashvili's famous novel "Bunker" is an observation of the lives of the citizens of independent Georgia, which tries to separate people from the historical narrative and tell us about their lives.
