Bidzina Kvernadze International Music Festival | Nika Nikvashvili – “From Baroque to Contemporary Music”
Bidzina Kvernadze International Music Festival is being held for the fourth time this year, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia and the Batumi City Hall.
As part of the festival, on July 2, at the Ilia Chavchavadze Drama Theatre in Batumi, the festival’s founder, concept creator, and musical director Nika Nikvashvili will present a musical kaleidoscope "From Baroque to Contemporary Music.”
Nika Nikvashvili will appear on stage together with the festival’s symphony orchestra and vocalists Sopho Khalvashi, Giorgi Sukhitashvili, and a special guest from France – Aurélia Meis.

The official opening of the festival will take place on June 28 in Signagi, marked by a ceremonial event dedicated to the unveiling of a bust of composer Bidzina Kvernadze. The bust will be installed in his hometown with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia and the initiative of the Signagi Municipality.
During the event, the composer’s timeless works will be performed by renowned singers accompanied by a symphony orchestra and choir. The musical director of the concert will once again be the festival’s founder and Musical Director Nika Nikvashvili.
Batumi Ilia Chavchavadze State Drama Theatre opened in 1952 and is the oldest dramatic theatre in Ajara, based in the centre of Batumi.
