On July 17, we invite you to an art history lecture titled “Francisco Goya. The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters.” The lecture will be delivered by Nikolay Dulkin — a graduate of Stroganov Academy, a hereditary art historian, and a charismatic, engaging speaker.
The Tbilisi lecture will focus on one of the earliest Romantic artists — Francisco Goya. But who was he really? A court painter turned exile? A painter who became famous for his etchings? The lover of the Duchess of Alba or a helpless man suffering from syphilis? Learn about this remarkable and contradictory Spaniard — who so truthfully captured both the struggles of his people and the tragedy of his own life — at the lecture on July 17. (18+)
