This autumn, the French Institute in Georgia presents a cycle of conferences dedicated to nearly 20 years of fruitful cooperation between France and Georgia in the field of archaeology. The sessions will be led by both French and Georgian researchers.
The first conference will be hosted by French paleoanthropologist and CNRS researcher Sandrine Prat, together with Georgian archaeologist and professor of anthropology at the Agricultural University of Georgia and Free University, Ana Mgeladze.
The conference will review the history of French-Georgian collaboration in archaeology, showcase ongoing joint research projects, and highlight the significance of this work in the study of human evolution.
We welcome everyone interested in history and cultural heritage!
