La Traviata

October, mid-19th century, Paris. The courtesan Violetta Valéry hosts one of her evenings in her salon.

She is introduced to a young man, Alfredo Germont, who has recently arrived in Paris from the provinces and appears more attentive and sensitive than her current companion, Baron Douphol.
