Wunschpunsch, or The Magic Drink — Book Presentation

On Saturday, February 21, at 3:00 PM, we invite you to the presentation of a new book by Academy of Thinking Publishing — Wunschpunsch, or The Magic Drink by Michael Ende.

The book will be presented by Salome Patardze, lecturer at Ilia State University and literary scholar.

This is a story in which the battle between good and evil unfolds to the ticking of a clock on the most mystical night of the year.
The plot revolves around the secret advisor to sorcerers, Irwitzer the Tempter, and his aunt Tyrannia Vampirula. With only two hours left to complete their annual plan of evil, failure would mean facing the wrath of the Minister of Ultimate Darkness. Their only solution is to brew a magical potion capable of instantly fulfilling any evil wish.
Standing in their way is the most unexpected duo — the raven Jacob Krant and the cat Maurizio.

Written in the genre of comic fantasy, the novel is rich in Ende’s signature humor, metaphors, and allegory. Special mention should be made of the “speaking names,” which have been brilliantly preserved and translated in the Georgian edition. Altogether, the book offers an engaging read for both young readers and adults.
