Workshop: Creating a Map of Tbilisi with Your Favorite Places

One hour after Nargiza’s lecture “The Green Bazaar of Kutaisi: An Anthropological Journey into Georgian Society.”

After the lecture, we invite you to a creative workshop where you can create your own personal map of Tbilisi — with your favorite places, secret routes, and special corners of the city.

What awaits you:
• Together with artist Nargiza, we’ll discuss why it’s worth drawing maps in the era of Google Maps
• Learn how to collect and visualize information based on your interests
• On a pre-prepared base (template), you’ll transfer your personal vision of the city onto paper

What you can draw:
You choose the theme of your map:
• A route for the perfect weekend
• Favorite architecture
• A map of bars / toilets / shops

We’ll provide everything you need for creativity — stickers, markers, pencils — so you can mark routes, make notes, and bring your map to life!

In the end, you’ll have not only a unique souvenir to keep, but also a new perspective on the city you love.
