On Saturday, June 13, join us for a literary seminar dedicated to one of the most influential and enigmatic writers of the 20th century — William S. Burroughs.
Writer. Addict. Occultist. Agent Lee. Burroughs' life often feels like a blend of myth and film noir: the accidental shooting of his wife, years of heroin addiction in Tangier, and an extraordinary influence on modern culture. David Cronenbergadapted his work for the screen, The Beatles placed him on the cover of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Kurt Cobain paid him a personal visit. His experimental writing gave rise to a unique literary cosmology filled with viruses, conspiracies, and the question of CONTROL.
During the seminar, we'll explore how Burroughs moved from relatively conventional prose such as Junky to the radically experimental collage-like writing of Nova Express.
Together we'll discuss:
📄 Bring one page of any printed text, and together we'll create our own Burroughs-style Cut-up composition during the workshop.
Join us to discover Burroughs' extraordinary creative methods—and experience them firsthand.
🎙 The seminar will be led by Nikita Nemtsev — writer, musician, essayist, and Master of Philology.
