When Life Gives You Lemons... Everyone Has Their Everest (UK, 84 min.)
Sally Orange served in the army, beat cancer, and then travelled to the foot of Everest to run the highest-altitude marathon on Earth — all to speak openly about what most people remain silent about. The film premiered as a headline feature at a British festival this year. You leave the cinema with a lighter heart than when you walked in.
Isabel (USA, 29 min.)
Stories about Colombia’s drug wars are usually told by the men who ran them. Here, the story is told by a woman who was born into that world, lost her family because of it, and managed to escape Medellín alive. Quiet, intimate, and completely different from the version you know from TV series.
The Master Craftsman (Switzerland, 5 min.)
In a Kuala Lumpur workshop, Master Siow still creates lion dance heads entirely by hand — bamboo, rattan, paper, painting one face after another. Five minutes of pure craftsmanship, filmed by a director whose work includes projects for CNN and BBC.
The final program and screening schedule are published on the official event page and are subject to change.
