Description
"Woyzeck" is a play by the German playwright Georg Buchner. The difficult, unbearable situation of an individual representing the common people is depicted. Wojciek, a barber from Leidzig, committed murder on the grounds of jealousy of his lover, for which he was sentenced to death. The play on which Buechner worked in the last year of his life was left unfinished and was published only after his death.
