The story of ancient vampires, Adam and Eve, who witnessed events like the Mongol-Tatar yoke and the Inquisition. Adam, a rocker from Detroit, plays underground music. He is very old, seeks peace and quiet, and harbors a quiet hatred for "zombies" (as vampires call humans). Eve, on the other hand, is a cheerful and much older vampiress who socializes with Shakespearean-era poet Christopher Marlowe and resides in Tangier. She arrives to pull her lover out of the depths of depression. However, their idyll is disrupted by the sudden arrival of Eve's younger sister, Ava. The outcome is unpredictable — will only the lovers survive?
