Victoria is a Spaniard living in Berlin. One night, while leaving a club, she meets four guys who promise to show her the "real" city. The walk through nighttime Berlin turns into more than just a stroll: it turns out that her new acquaintances have an old debt to settle, and since one of them is too drunk, they ask Victoria to be the driver.
"Victoria" is one of the few films that can be considered a remarkable technical achievement: shot in one continuous take, without any cuts. However, in this case, it's not just a gimmick but a full-fledged artistic technique that sets the pace, mood, and immersive effect right from the start. The script for this over two-hour film fit on 12 pages, so almost all the dialogues were improvised. Importantly, despite its technical prowess, "Victoria" impresses not with its techniques per se, but with its naturalness, hyper-realism, and a clear sense that, just like in real life, not everything will end well.
