Can We Control Our Lives?
At the next film club meeting with a psychologist, we will watch the 2006 drama by Alejandro González Iñárritu and talk about the circumstances that are stronger than our choices.
About the film:
The story unfolds in different parts of the world: Morocco, Mexico, the USA, and Japan. Tourists become victims of a random shot, a nanny gets in trouble at the border, and a deaf girl searches for love and recognition in a metropolis. These stories may seem unrelated, but together they create a mosaic portrait of the modern world, where fear, loneliness, and despair coexist with hope and humanity.
The film club will be led by Olesya Patratii — existential psychologist, trauma therapist, and group facilitator.
