In the Vasya Oblomov clips Noize MC wore a mustache, Leonid Parfenov rapped for the first time, Mikhail Efremov sat on the toilet, Basta wrote a letter to the president, Yuri Dud took an unsuccessful interview, and a flying saucer flew into the bus stop of a small provincial town. Both parts of the movie “Duhless” end the same way: with Vasya Oblomov's song. The current president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, used to sing Oblomov's songs in “Kvartal 95.” For 13 years of existence Vasya Oblomov has released 6 full albums, each of which ranked first in listening on digital platforms, wrote a lot of satirical songs on information occasions, took part in the scandalous project Citizen Poet, and Vasya Oblomov's music videos gather tens of millions of views.

Oblomov is one of the few Russian musicians who has performed at major protest rallies in Moscow since 2012 and openly criticized the Russian authorities, eventually earning their long-standing dislike. In 2022 all concerts of Vasily Oblomov in Russia, as well as all those artists who openly spoke out against military actions, were banned.
