After World War II, Venezuela became a new home for several thousand émigrés from the Russian Empire and Soviet Russia. Nearly eight decades later, this documentary pieces together the story of this Russian community through the memories of its descendants, archival footage, and the places where Russian life continued in Caracas, Valencia, and Barquisimeto.
Untold Russia reveals an unexpected side of Venezuela — a country that once welcomed millions of European refugees and became a third homeland for many of them.
