But behind his throne stands a powerful entourage: Dzelshavi, Shavkapito, Taveveri, Otskhanuri Sapere, Ojaleshi, and other red Georgian autochthonous varieties.
Each has its own character and story — they just don’t wear crowns.

This Friday we explore the world of uncrowned Georgian reds — from light and berry‑fruited to deep and commanding.
