"The Color of Pomegranates" in Art.Cinema

The film, consisting of several miniatures, attempts to show the spiritual world of the medieval Armenian poet Sayat-Nova, who wrote in Armenian, Georgian and Azerbaijani, his love story, the poet’s attitude to religion, secular power, and the people. In the absence of the usual literary monologue, all the decisions of the film's author lie in the purely visual sphere.
