We'll talk about how an artist, unable to find an existing artistic style that reflected his worldview, invented Suprematism.
Together, we’ll try to uncover the meaning behind Malevich’s style. How do you see an "Airplane" in simple rectangles? What led the artist to this vision of the world — and did he really see it that way? Where is the biggest secret of the master of "artistic geometry" hidden? And why, in the end, couldn't children — or you — do the same?
The lecture will be led by Pasha Rost, a painter, illustrator, and a graduate of the Florence Academy of Art, Faculty of Academic Painting.
