Triala Lakes — Hidden Beyond the Goderdzi Pass
Departure
Departure from Batumi is scheduled for approximately 7:00–8:00 AM (the exact time may vary). The drive takes around 3.5–4 hours.
We'll make a short stop along the way before continuing through one of Georgia's most scenic mountain roads, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and breathtaking landscapes.
Crossing the Goderdzi Pass, we'll leave Adjara behind and enter the Samtskhe–Javakheti region, where an entirely different landscape and ecosystem await.
This is our only one-day tour to Samtskhe–Javakheti, offering a unique opportunity to explore the forests and lake ecosystems of this remarkable region.
Hiking
After a light snack at the trailhead, we'll begin our hike.
The route passes several picturesque lakes and leads through a variety of forest landscapes.
We'll first walk through spruce and fir forests, where we'll look for wild mushrooms.
Lunch will be enjoyed beside one of the lakes.
The trail then continues through pine, aspen, and oak forests, each with its own unique vegetation, mushrooms, scents, and scenery.
Throughout the hike, you'll enjoy spectacular views of mountains and crystal-clear lakes.

Elevation gain: approximately 500 m
After the hike, we'll return to the vehicle, relax with hot herbal tea and snacks, and head back to Batumi.
Arrival in Batumi is expected at around midnight.
It may be a long day, but a hiking adventure for wild mushrooms in Samtskhe–Javakheti is well worth the journey. Our itinerary is designed to maximize your time in nature while keeping travel time to a minimum.
