We’re heading to the largest lake in Georgia!
In just one day, we’ll travel through Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti — regions where Germans, Greeks, Armenians, Georgians and Russian Doukhobors lived side by side for centuries.
On this tour, we will visit:
▫️ Asureti — the former German colony of Elisabethtal;
▫️ Beshtasheni — one of the first Greek villages in the Caucasus;
▫️ Poka Monastery — a place known for cheese, chocolate and preserves made by the nuns;
▫️ Paravani Lake — the largest lake in Georgia;
▫️ Doukhobor villages — settlements where religious communities from the Russian Empire were relocated in the 19th century.
Throughout the trip, we will be accompanied by a historian and cultural heritage specialist.
