Thirst

A modern Korean reimagining of Émile Zola’s Thérèse Raquin. A horror film about a selfless and beloved Catholic priest who volunteers to test an experimental vaccine against a deadly disease. He falls ill, dies, and then comes back to life—only to discover he has become a vampire… and fallen in love with his friend’s wife.

Directed by Oldboy’s Park Chan-wook, Thirst earned him his second Cannes Jury Prize.
