Actors displaced from Abkhazia take over an abandoned basement and establish a theatre there. Each of them is still living “out of a suitcase,” holding on to the hope of returning home to Abkhazia.
They build a new theatre in the basement and achieve success on stage. Yet none of them can escape the feeling that everything is temporary and that they will soon be able to return home.
They recall the journey through Chuberi and the loved ones who became enemies overnight because of the war. Yet, with remarkable skill, they weave humor into these painful memories.
Eventually, a new owner claims the abandoned basement, and the theatre founded by displaced actors finds itself displaced once again.
