The State of Things

Wim Wenders’ own 8½. February 1981, Portugal. The seashore. In a seaside resort battered by storms, the cast and crew of a film about nuclear war have taken shelter in a half-ruined hotel. The shooting has come to a halt — they’ve run out of money.
