The Package is a heartfelt theatrical drama about parents and ungrateful children, the love of one's homeland, and the difficult choices faced by those who leave their country in search of a better future.
The story follows a woman who emigrates abroad and gradually encounters the emotional and practical hardships of life away from home. Left behind in Georgia are her husband and only daughter, forcing her to navigate the painful distance between family obligations and personal aspirations.
As time passes, she finds herself facing a profound dilemma: should she continue her life abroad or return home to the people and place she loves?
The production explores themes of separation, family bonds, responsibility, identity, and the meaning of belonging. It is a moving reflection on the sacrifices made by emigrants and the emotional cost of pursuing a better life far from home.
The play is based on a work by Giorgi Kashia.
