“The Other” is a marionette performance based on the prehistoric short story “He” by renowned Georgian writer Jemal Karchkhadze.
The story follows a primitive man who becomes the first in his tribe to undergo evolution: he stands upright, looks at the sky for the first time, begins to think and feel, falls in love, and starts discovering himself.
But these changes frighten those around him — and the tribe’s leader…

The port city and Black Sea resort of Batumi is the capital of the Georgian Republic of Adjara. The Batumi Boulevard runs along the seafront, a park, and a beach. The 130-meter-high Alphabet Tower, featuring inscriptions in the Georgian script, houses an observation deck with stunning sea views. In the Old Town, you can see many reconstructed 19th-century buildings. In the northern part of Batumi lies the botanical garden, home to plants from around the world.
