We invite you to the first presentation of Fridtjof Nansen's book in Russian! We are presenting the edition "Across the Caucasus to the Volga" — a story about his journey that took place exactly one hundred years ago. At that time, Nansen, already a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, came to Soviet Armenia on a humanitarian mission. After this, he accepted an invitation to visit Georgia, Dagestan, Chechnya, and Russia.
Today, this book is not just a travelogue but a true historical document. Living in the Caucasus, we have the opportunity to compare what the great traveler saw a century ago with how the political, social, and everyday life of the region has changed today.
