When did the first toy appear, and what did ancient toys look like? Through a variety of visual and audio materials, participants will learn about:

 

 

Interesting facts about ancient dolls discovered by archaeologists;

 

The history of doll-making in different countries;

 

The history of creating traditional Georgian ethnographic dolls (dedofalebi);

 

The profession of a puppeteer/doll maker.

 

At the end of the program, participants will create their own traditional Georgian dolls.

Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people.
