A young figure skater makes it into the top three at national competitions and simultaneously attracts the attention of the Canadian Figure Skating Association. Seeing great potential in the talented athlete, the association sends her to the World Championship, where she finishes in an honorable tenth place. Riding the wave of success, the skater is placed under the guidance of a famous coach known for a strict and demanding training style. Soon it becomes clear that the real struggle is only just beginning.
